“Jesse Tree envisions a community where all of our neighbors live in safe and stable housing.”
Jesse Tree provides financial assistance coupled with case management to households at risk of eviction and homelessness who are unable to pay rent. Case management includes landlord mediation, budgeting help, and housing stability planning, while financial assistance catches people up on the rent that they owe. Jesse Tree also supports households in eviction court to keep them from getting an eviction on their record and out of homelessness.

Vision:
Jesse Tree envisions a community where all of our neighbors live in safe and stable housing.
Mission:
Jesse Tree leads the Treasure Valley on preventing eviction and homelessness by supporting our neighbors at risk of housing loss, empowering them to stay in their homes.
Values:
We are compassionate, reliable, solutions-oriented, and balanced.
Recently Jesse Tree received a $120,000 grant from Siemer Institute. This will allow them to hire two new case managers focused on working with Canyon County residents at risk of eviction. Ali Rabe, the Executive Director of Jesse Tree says, “The Treasure Valley is at a critical juncture in the housing crisis. This grant will allow our organization to provide much-needed case management services to families at risk of eviction, to provide them with short-term, one-time support while setting them up for long-term success. This will ultimately reduce the number of families and kids experiencing homelessness in the Treasure Valley.” The case managers can use rental assistance funding to help tenants catch up on the rent they owe, while also connecting them to services. This grant comes at a critical time for the Treasure Valley.
Jesse Tree relies on volunteers from our community. Especially in-person volunteers during their business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm) who support them in answering phones, to make sure that people who contact them receive needed connections to resources and assistance to stay housed. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, available during their business hours at their Boise office, friendly and able to problem solve, and able to educate tenants and future clients on Jesse Tree and other community resources. Apply to volunteer and help our neighbors directly on their website!
The more neighbors who invest in their community by supporting Jesse Tree’s mission of eviction prevention, the stronger our community becomes. Jesse Tree is always accepting donations in many forms such as gas or grocery cards, hotel vouchers, diapers and financial assistance. They have set up an easy and effective way to donate monthly directly on their website. Other donations can be dropped off at 1121 W Miller St. Boise, ID 83702.
